The fastbillgen workspace
The free generators make a document and forget it. The workspace remembers: who owes you what, which invoices went out, what came back, and what is late.
Two products, and the difference matters
Everything on the tools pages runs inside your browser. Nothing you type there reaches this server, because there is nowhere on those pages to send it. That has not changed and it will not.
The workspace is the other thing. You sign in, and your customers, invoices and payments are stored on our server so they are there tomorrow, on your phone, and when your accountant asks. That is the trade: an account and stored records, in exchange for a product that can chase a late payer.
What it does
- Invoices, quotes and receipts that keep their numbers, so the sequence in your records is the sequence on the paper.
- Customers with what they owe, what they have paid and how long they take.
- Recurring invoices that raise themselves on the day, once, even if the job runs twice.
- Reminders that stop the moment an invoice is settled, and chase the balance rather than the total.
- Payments recorded by you or confirmed by the card provider. Never by a browser.
- Expenses from a photograph of a receipt, which stay uncounted until you agree with what was read off it.
- Projects and time, billed at the rate the work was recorded at, not the rate you charge today.
- A client portal where your customer sees their own documents, approves a quote, and pays.
What it does not do
It does not file anything with a tax authority, and it is not a general ledger. It tracks what you invoiced and what you were paid. If you need double-entry bookkeeping, buy accounting software.
What it costs
There is a free tier, and it is a real one: five documents a month, ten customers, one person. Pro is ten dollars a month and lifts the document and customer limits. Business is twenty and adds more people and more API keys. The pricing page lists exactly what is in each.
The free generators stay free, with no cap on how many documents you make, because they run in your browser and cost us nothing to run. Nothing that works today gets moved behind the account.
