- Is it actually free, or free until the download button?
- Free at the download button, which is where most tools change their mind. Nothing on these pages is held back for money: no export credit, no watermark to remove, no cap on how many you make. The signed-in workspace is what has paid plans, and it is a different product on its own pages.
- Do I have to make an account?
- No. Every generator and calculator here works without one, and none of them asks for an email. The workspace is a separate, signed-in product for people who want their invoices stored and chased; it is optional and you never have to go near it.
- Where do my client details go?
- Nowhere. The document is built in your browser and the PDF is written on your device. Your own details are kept in this browser so the next invoice is quicker, and you can clear them whenever you like.
- Can I add VAT, GST or sales tax?
- Yes, at any rate. The VAT and GST calculators cover the standard rates for the UK, the EU, Australia, Canada, India and Singapore.
- What invoice number should I start at?
- Any number, so long as it never repeats and never goes backwards. Most people start at 1 or at 1001. What matters to an accountant is a sequence with no gaps you cannot explain.
